We don’t like to blow our own trumpet but Head coach Luke’s positive coaching attitude and accomplishments have not gone unnoticed.

When Luke completed his UEFA B, Scarborough Athletic had these kind words to say about their ex-player and coach:

“The 23-year-old is a man on a mission after following in the footsteps of Athletic’s U19s manager Steve Roberts who also studied for his UEFA B with the support of a league bursary.” Read the full article here.

While Luke was studying for his BSc in Sport Development with Coaching degree, he took a placement with the Premier League in South Africa. He worked with the Football Foundation of South Africa, teaching football to underprivileged children from the townships of Gansbaai and Masakhane. Luke’s University accomplishments didn’t stop there, alongside working for Sheffield Wednesday FC, he worked at both the London 2012 Olympics and the Sochi Winter Games, The Star newspaper covered this story and some of Luke’s experiences here.

After graduating University, Luke coached in America for Discoveries Soccer Club via Global Premier Soccer he returned to the UK where he started Inspire Soccer UK in his hometown of Scarborough. While studying towards his UEFA qualification, he worked for Hull City when they gained Premier League Status in the role of scouting and developing talented young players.
